Training for the Business Functions

Training begins Monday!
Mass General Brigham's Workday training goes live on Monday, October 21st. Numerous resources, such as job aids, simulations, interactive demonstrations, eLearning in Healthstream, and more, will be available for all employees and managers. Beeline for Extended Workforce Management
Beeline will be Mass General Brigham's new Extended Workforce Management System. This will be the centralized record management system for extended workers, formerly known as POIs and non-employees - a critical aspect of our workforce population. Beeline will be MGB's single source of truth for extended workforce management, decreasing manual entry work, providing consistent policies, and improving the experience for MGB managers and extended workers. It will also enhance MGB's reporting capabilities in conjunction with Workday, allowing the organization to view reports that cover the entirety of the workforce. Introducing Opus, for just-in-time learning
Even if you've completed training once, it can be hard to remember how to do one-off tasks in technology. Mass General Brigham's solution is Opus for just-in-time learning needs. Opus provides MGB employees with on-screen support for completing tasks in Workday and UKG by offering job aids, simulations, and interactive demonstrations right in the application. It aims to enhance an employee’s training experience with just-in-time support, accessible via a web advisor lightbulb icon in your internet browser toolbar. Workday job aid resources and all training will be available to MGB employees starting October 21, 2024, with full access by January 1, 2025. Equity Champions: building Workday for all of us
Founded in the spring of 2022, the Business Excellence Equity Champions consist of BEx project team members from the functional areas of Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Research. Their purpose is to apply the lens of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to their functional areas as we design, build, and implement Workday for all of Mass General Brigham. Becoming an Empowered Learner
Being an Empowered learner means taking steps to move from reacting to change to preparing for change. It also means understanding that learning takes repetition, practice, and time to digest. Change Champion Network
The Business Excellence Organizational Readiness Team created the Change Champion Network to play an integral part in the communications cascade in preparation for systemwide go-lives. The System Change Champion Network was the first group created in 2022. The Functional Change Champion Network was added in 2023 and the Expanded Change Champion Network was added in 2024. Combined, these three networks host more than 1,200 participants and include representation from various roles across the entire Mass General Brigham system. Workday Resource Navigation Tool
With the transition to Workday only a few months away, the amount of available information will only increase over time. To help access the correct resources effectively and efficiently, the Organizational Readiness Team has created a tool to do just that. The Workday Resource Navigation Tool will act as a central hub for general information and provide direct links to additional details and resources across various platforms. PeopleSoft Restrictions
Moving out of one system and into another is a complicated process. A key priority in managing the move is ensuring our data and information make as smooth a transition into the new system as possible. To do this, we must begin to protect the data in our current system, PeopleSoft, through a series of restriction periods. Some of these changes only affect business roles, but some will reach all employees and managers. This episode covers: definitions of "limited transaction and block periods"; explanations of the purpose and approach; and examples of all-user impacts close to go-live.
