Ironman Lake Placid Preview with Brittaney Talbot & Vanessa Foerster

It's Ironman Lake Placid week! Professional Triathletes Brittaney Talbot and Vanessa Foerster share their pre-race thoughts before they swim, bike, and run as fast as possible around Upstate New York! Brittaney & Vanessa talk about why they chose Placid, how they plan to tackle the course, and what they're most looking forward to on the day (hint: it's the finish!) This isn't their first Ironman, but it is their first PRO Ironman, so it's guaranteed to be a special day. Haley will be in Placid as a field reporter, so if you just can't get enough of this trio, tune in to Ironman's YouTube channel Sunday morning and be sure to throw a few cheers Brittaney and Vanessa's way!

Mary Cain Book Review with Jocelyn & Jen

It's the virtual book club of your dreams! Haley and Jocelyn are joined by Montana State University Professor, Age Group Triathlete, and Haley's swim bud, Jen Lachowiec, to discuss Mary Cain's book "This is Not About Running." The trio chat about Mary's memoir about her sometimes exciting, but ultimately devastating, experience as a high school running phenom. Jocelyn compares some of Mary's experiences with the Nike Oregon Project to her own time on the elite triathlon squad, Team TBB, and Jen shares her perspective as both an athlete and educator. Listen if you've read the book, or even if you haven't! Mary's message to protect athletes at all levels of sport is one we all need to hear.
