Prins Willem Frederik was dan wel de held van Waterloo, de revolutionairen in onze hoofdstad bleken voor hem een maatje te groot. Het bombardement op Antwerpen blijkt een fatale beslissing voor Willem I. Het brengt geen aarde aan de dijk. Integendeel. Meer vastberaden dan ooit maakt men zich nu op voor de verkiezingen van het eerste voorlopig bewind.

Het is september 1830. Koning Willem I vindt het hoog tijd om de revolutionairen een lesje te leren. Een regeringsleger, 12.000 man sterk, onder leiding van zijn zoon prins Frederik marcheert op Brussel. Nu is het erop of eronder.
