Brain Waves and Consciousness

Disrupted patterns in our brain waves, particularly the balance of gamma and beta waves, has been observed in ADHD, schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, autism, Alzheimer's dementia, Major Depressive Disorder, Parkinson's disease and Huntington's motor disease. These conditions share malfunction in the brain's 'drum section', the parvalbumin interneurons, which seem to set the rhythm for gamma waves.

Dissociative Identity Disorder reveals disruption in brain wave patterns, but the malfunction seems to be more regionally specific and caused by changes in signaling from the brain's 'band conductor', the somatostatin interneurons.

This suggests that rational function, 'consciousness', relates to our having steady brain waves, which are coordinated across functional regions of the brain in order for us to 'pay attention' or make rational decisions, or simply stay awake and alert.

Nutrient support and avoiding some dietary chemicals can help improve the balanced signaling that we need for improved functioning. Rhythmic exercise or listening to synchronizing music or frequencies, while avoiding chaotic or desynchronizing rhythms may also be a direct help, supporting dysfunctional parvalbumin interneurons that may no longer be 'playing a steady beat'.

Calming or helps detox:

Electrolytes: magnesium and adequate potassium and sodium without an excess of calcium supplementation;

Amino acid support: glycine, Dimethylglycine, serine, taurine; Avoid excess glutamate which is common in food seasonings (MSG and many others) and it is naturally rich in tomatoes and cheese.

B-vitamins: methyl folate (not in excess, 400 mcg) and B12, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, choline, pyridoxine, pantothenic acid, and betaine may be needed for some, but my own gene differences mean I need glycine/DMG, and avoid excess betaine (also called TMG, tri-methyl glycine).

Rhythmic exercise and sunshine help normalize brain waves and support mitochondrial function. Problems with mitochondria are linked to disruption in cognitive and physical health and problems with the somatostatin and parvalbumin cells.

Disclaimer: This information is being shared for educational purposes within the guidelines of Fair Use and is not intended to provide individual health care guidance.

This podcast episode was unscripted--I think the information is important to share . For a Good Mood: Magnesium and Structured Water

Scroll down for Structured Water information.

Mental and physical health are treated differently by the medical system, but we need physical health in order to have good mental health, AND it is also true that negative mental health can worsen our physical health. Inflammation occurs from physical work or strenuous exercise AND also occurs from an emotional upset whether anger or grief or even a lot of excitement.

Both our physical and mental health are connected at the neck, connected with our circulatory system and energy flow. EMF or an excess of blue light from digital screens or at night increases inflammation by allowing calcium to overflood our cells, similarly to excitotoxins in the diet (glutamates or aspartame and Neotame artificial sweeteners). Black-out curtain darkness is best for our circadian health and night-time production of melatonin and then get out in natural sunshine in the morning for a good circadian start to the day.

Epsom salt soaks provide magnesium and sulfate topically, bypassing a stressed gut that cannot absorb magnesium well due to the Autonomic Nervous System's fear response reducing digestive function. We can't run away from a Saber Tooth Tiger as well when energy is being used to digest the last meal. Inflammation from EMF or an excess of blue light uses up magnesium and it is needed to block the excitotoxic entry of calcium into our cells.

Changing our habits takes some work, but the protection can be worth having a better mood and better long-term health. Inflammation is disruptive to our quantum energy and mental calm. We need to slow down from the fast pace of modern life and give our body time to clear out toxins and waste from the day. Drinking structured water beverages or just adequate water helps, along with walking and other moderate stretching exercises. Muscle movement helps clear out toxins and deliver nutrients to the body.

Structured Water: The image is of polished shungite in a glass bottle, leave overnight or in the sun for a day in order to 'structure' the water. It does not filter out impurities, but will align the water molecules energetically and can seem slightly slippery or thicker in the mouth and seem 'crystal clear' ... like fresh mountain spring water. The energetic alignment is 'quantum coherence' of the water and that can seem soothing to the mouth and gut.

For more information about shungite and a variety of methods for making structured water, see: Shungite rock for EMF absorption and/or making Structured Water, (deNutrients.Substack.com)

Disclaimer: This information is being provided for educational purposes within the guidelines of Fair Use and is not intended to provide individual health care guidance.

"Everybody's Fancy" - Mr. Fred Rogers; an extended version for modern times. Endocrine Disrupting chemicals; trauma warning, death of a trans youth is discussed..

"Everybody's Fancy" is a song by Fred Rogers which he performed on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood children's public TV show. He was gifted in imagination and in sharing it with others in person or through the new-fangled medium of television. He started in the very early days of programming. The song is about boys and girls and how our bodies are different but equally just great the way they are. I added a few stanzas for our modern times and think the song is still very relevant. I do not have Copyright permission but encourage you to sing along in the spirit of neighborliness and within the guidelines of Fair Use.

The song is sung by Fred Rogers on the show many times over the years and a clip shows him from early years to later years - as cheerful and kind as ever. See: Was Mister Rogers a TERF? - by Mickey Z. - Post-Woke (substack.com)

"Everybody's fancy", Fred Rogers, Lyrics with six additional lines by me:

Some are fancy on the outside,

Some are fancy on the inside,

Chorus: Everybody's fancy, everybody's fine,

Your body's fancy and so is mine.

Stanza 2: Boys are boys from the beginning,

Girls are girls right from the start.

Stanza 3: (Only) girls can grow up to be the mommies,

(Only) boys can grow up to be the daddies.

Stanza 4: I think you're a special person

and I like your ins and outsides. -> Copyright Fred Rogers estate.

New Stanza 5: We grow up to be the workers.

We grow up to be the leaders.

New Stanza 6: Some may feel different on their insides.

Some may feel different on their outsides.

New Stanza 7: Some may feel like running bases.

Some may feel like playing house.

Everybody's happy, everybody's glad,

That their body's healthy, and not a fad.

Repeat chorus between each stanza except 7, and repeat Stanza 4 again at the end followed by the chorus again.

*An initial version is included with the word 'Only' as Mr. Rogers sang it. It fits the tune better without the word and modern times too - slightly less abrasive without it. A second version with a new Stanza 7 chorus is included as an opening in case people don't want to hear about endocrine disrupting chemicals - the trauma part is in the second half though.

Disclaimer: Opinions are my own and the information is provided for educational purposes within the guidelines of fair use.
