[…] I won't deny that. But for me, they stymied my progress. I didn't enjoy doing it. I didn't like the sound. I'd fiddle with everything. And now it's almost more spiritual. You know, it's almost like a more of a spiritual experience for me every time I play. I would chase that when I was not sober. And I would think that drinking more or using some substance would magnify music for me. But in the end, it really didn't. I couldn't find enjoyment in it.
