Ed van der Elsken - tentoonstelling Up Close: over vrijheid, experiment en gras in de auto
Brutaal, rebels, tegendraads. Ed van der Elsken fotografeerde op zijn heel eigen manier bijzondere en eigenzinnige mensen. Hij reisde de wereld rond, ging talloze keren naar Japan en struinde de straten af in Parijs en Amsterdam. Nog steeds is zijn werk een inspiratiebron voor heel veel fotografieliefhebbers. Janine Abbring praat met Anneke Hilhorst en Hinde Haest over de hippie-tijd, boeren in Purmerend, het maken van fotoboeken en het enorme werkarchief dat van Hilhorsts huis is overgebracht naar het Nederlands Fotomuseum en het Rijksmuseum. Haest onderzocht het archief en stelde de tentoonstelling samen. Over gras in de auto en blote mensen tot experimenten in vormgeving en afdrukken in de doka.

Fiep Westendorp - Van badkamerkastjes vol tekeningen naar een prachttentoonstelling
Van het rode kraanwagentje van Pluk van de Petteflet tot de zwart-witte silhouetten van Jip en Janneke: wie is er niet opgegroeid met de iconische illustraties van Fiep Westendorp? Zo’n 150 originele tekeningen zijn deze zomer te zien in het Rijksmuseum. Wie was Fiep Westendorp, en hoe werkte ze? Hoe komt het dat haar werk na 70 jaar nog altijd immens populair is? Janine Abbring gaat in gesprek met conservator Marian Cousijn en kunsthistoricus Gioia Smid, schatbewaarder van het werk van Fiep Westendorp en jarenlang goede vriendin van haar. De tentoonstelling Fiep Westendorp met zo’n 150 originele tekeningen in 2 zalen is te zien van 19 juni t/m 13 september 2026.
