La Montaña Rusa 25.2026. Especial Abdullah Ibrahim Parte 1 (1965-1977).
<p>Nos despedimos hace poco de uno de los grandes, <strong>Sonny Rollins</strong> y esta semana tuvimos también que decir adios a otro grande, el pianista y compositor <strong>Abdullah Ibrahim</strong>, conocido también en sus inicios como <strong>Dollar Brand</strong>, enorme y maravilloso músico que fue todo un símbolo de la lucha contra el Apartheid sudafricano.</p><p>Podemos considerar a <strong>Abdullah Ibrahim</strong> como uno de los padres del Jazz en Sudáfrica y más en concreto del Cape Jazz, proveniente de Ciudad del Cabo, donde creció y desarrolló su talento musical hasta tener que exiliarse a principios de los 60.</p><p>Desde el exterior y siempre con un ancla sentimental y musical muy sólida en su tierra, combatió el Apartheid a través de la música, dándose a conocer por todos los rincones de la escena Jazz del momento, con ese gusto en su música por el Bebop y la influencia inevitable en su piano de <strong>Thelonious Monk</strong>.
