Why is POLITICS all about TRANS people again??
Talarico (TX) and several other key Democrats running in the midterms this election have been wishy-washy at best, and outright transphobic at worst, but in any case, trans people are the topic of political conversation YET AGAIN! Instead of talking about the economy, rising prices, the ongoing war, AI, the climate apocalypse, increasing violence against marginalized people, ICE violence in our streets, or the surveillance state we're living under... everyone's just going on and on about TRANS PEOPLE! Why?! What is the strategy here?!

Fascism and imperialism can only continue to exist in a world that enforces a STRICT gender binary (and hierarchy), and the main goal is POPULATION CONTROL. If trans people are allowed to exist, we pose a direct threat to the story they've been telling us about people's "role" in society for thousands of years. Naturally, it becomes necessary, in order to maintain power, to paint us out as "freaks" and "mentally ill," instead of just "people with a slight variation in gender and possibly biology from other people." Every colonizer targeted trans people FIRST. Today, we're seeing that fight play out again, with politicians of BOTH parties running campaigns on being anti-trans or at least vaguely "not pro-trans." It was a winning strategy for MAGA in 2024, so they're pulling out all the stops (and many many millions of dollars) to try to repeat history.
