Op het strand van Copacabana vond in september 2025 een concert plaats van legendarische zangers uit de tijd van het Tropicalismo, een creatieve protestbeweging tijdens de militaire dictatuur (late jaren '60). Nina Jurna was erbij. In november wordt de dag van de Doden (Dia de Muertos) groots gevierd in onder meer Mexico. Het lijk erop dat in Nederland ook steeds meer belangstelling voor is. Er worden allerlei events georganiseerd, maar voor de diepere betekenis van de viering moest je in het Wereldmuseum in Leiden zijn waar Edoardo Ramos Anaya al 35 jaar probeert om het praten over de dood uit de taboesfeer te halen.
