Ogni edizione ha avuto un tema attorno al quale si sono sviluppate le attività proposte da Sponz Fest, che sono musica, mostre, installazioni, momenti d’incontro e di studio. L’obiettivo di Sponz Fest è fare del vuoto una «grande risorsa» e «<i>riempirla di bellezza, di cultura, di contenuti»,</i> in altre parole essere un’occasione per ri-creare comunità. Ci racconta questa edizione il direttore organizzativo Franco Bassi nell'intervista realizzata da Carlo Chicco.

Intervista a Il Mago del gelato - Porto Rubino - 140/07/2025
Il 14 luglio a Monopoli, nel contesto di Porto Rubino 2025, si è esibito il Mago del Gelato, formazione milanese con sonorità che fondono funk, afrobeat e jazz. La band è composta da quattro musicisti (Giovanni Doneda, Ferruccio Perrone, Pietro Gregori e Alessandro Paolone) ma si esibisce anche in formazioni più allargate, tutti affascinati dalla varietà culturale del mondo, dice Onda Rock, creano un sound originale e coinvolgente, funk-jazz miscelato con influenze della musica per il cinema italiano degli anni 60. Hanno pubblicato il loro primo EP, "Maledetta Quella Notte", nell'ottobre 2023 e nel 2024 sono entrati nel roster di Dischi Numero Uno, pubblicando i singoli "Pandora", "Granturismo" e "Tic Tac". insieme ad altri artisti di rilievo, in una cornice suggestiva e ispirata alla bellezza del mare pugliese.<br /><br />Carlo Chicco li ha intervistati per farveli conoscere meglio.<br /><br />Porto Rubino, che si svolge nei porti della Puglia, ha visto a Monopoli 2025 anche la partecipazione di Levante, La Rappresentante di Lista, Coca Puma, Bassolino, e Lamante Gaia Rollo. <br /><br />
