"Light in the Land" - Program #53 (Storms of Life - Mark 4)
Today we talk about storms. We do so by placing the story of Mark 4 into the context of the Sea of Galilee. A storm formed over this fresh water lake instantly, causing fear and panic among the disciples. Yet Jesus calmed the storm, bringing peace to the situation. Jesus is still in the business of calming our storms of life as well when we place our trust in Him! We cast our cares upon Him for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

"Light in the Land" - Program #52 ("Lithostrotos" - Sentencing Location of Jesus)
Today we walk consider the location where Jesus was tried and sentenced for crucifixion. This location seems to be just outside the current Old City walls of Jerusalem. Jesus was presented by Pilate to the religious authorities outside what is called the "Hidden Gate" on what John 19 refers to as the "lithostrotos" (stone pavement). This episode discusses the reasoning for suggesting this location.

"Light in the Land" - Program #51 (Pilgrim Road, Jerusalem)
Today we walk up the newly-opened "Pilgrim Road" in the City of David. This was a stone pavement completed around AD 30 that extended as far south as the Pool of Siloam. Today we can walk this paved road from the Pool all the way up to the SW corner of the Temple (about 400 yards). We literally walk in the footsteps of Jesus!
Under this paved street is a drainage channel that collected the rain water and diverted it to the large reservoir pool (Siloam Pool?) at the southern end.
