In 1996 in San Francisco, CA, Darren J. de Leon and Norman Zelaya formed Los Delicados. Paul S. Flores would join them and for the next 5 years they scorched poetry stages everywhere with their style they called the Word Descarga. This podcast goes over the history of Los Delicados as they rose from a spoken word ensemble to the leading Latinx Poetry groups. In their prime, they recorded their CD "Word Descarga" (Calaca Press) and toured their poetry play, "Guyaberas By the Pound." They will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary in November 2021 in SF's Bay Area.
