Season 1: the de-brief

Season 1 has come to an end, the festive season is upon us, and Joe and Meg are getting all sentimental about it ❤️ So in case you hadn't had enough of our silliness just yet, we made u a surprise bonus episode!

We reminisce on our first rollercoaster year of making Love To See It: from recording with our fabulous special guests, to the challenges we've faced making the podcast, what we've loved most about hosting with each other, and our new years resolutions for the show in 2021. We dive deep into what we mean by 'queer' too, revealing the thinking behind our reviews - and how it's allowed us to get more out of bonkers reality TV than we ever expected to. We're still not sure quite how we managed to pull this season off during the dumpster fire of 2020, but you, dear listener, have made it all worthwhile :')

What shall we watch in Season 2?! Should we give u guys a collective name??? For the love of god will u pls review us on Apple Podcasts so Joe will shut up about it???? With love and hugs from all (both) of us on the show, it's the season finale of Love To See It!

10. Love on the Spectrum: with RhiannonTheAutie

Joe and Meg meet autism advocate extraordinaire RhiannonTheAutie for the final show of the season!

Rhiannon (she/her) is a 21-year-old mental health and neurodiversity advocate, diagnosed autistic and ADHD, and final-year psychology student with a special interest in developmental psychology. Together, we watch Netflix's Love On The Spectrum*: a documentary series following Australian young adults on the autism spectrum as they navigate dating and relationships. The show sparks some of the most fab chat of the season between Joe, Meg and Rhi, as we discuss all kinds of autistic love: from families and friends, to partners and crushes, to self-love. Autistic people are too often misunderstood and subject to stereotypes, but Love On The Spectrum starts to lift the lid on the realities of neurodiverse life - with all its highs, lows and not-giving-a-fuck energy. In Rhi's words, the show may not be perfect, but it's 'a perfect work-in-progress' (just like us!).

What's the best way to approach a cute guy in public? How should you call out a friend? What the fuck is a Numtot? Find out in Episode 10 of Love To See It!

*Spoilers for future episodes included

9. Scream Queens: the male gaze

Joe and Meg are sCrEaMInG in Episode 9 of your fave podcast!

It’s sp00ky szn, so to celebrate we take a trip to one of the most terrifying places known to man (or should we say, women): the film industry. We learn from visionary experts Mutton Chops Man and Soul Patch Dude what it really takes to survive Hollywood’s horror industry, as we follow 10 actresses competing for a coveted role in a certain well-known movie franchise. Turns out this involves being able to convincingly have sex with fruit, do a lot of cross-eyed screaming and live in an all-women household without starting a cat-fight…? Scream Queens reveals the eek-inducing ways that women are punished, praised and controlled behind the screen, and why the male gaze is basically to blame for every shit horror film you’ve ever seen.

Why did everyone call Taylor Swift a snake that one time? What was babby Joe’s spooky look of choice every single halloween?? What’s the real meaning of punk??? Find out (if u daaaare hehe) in the latest episode of Love To See It!
