<p>As <strong>Liver Transplant patients</strong>, you need be extra vigilant as you are on medications including immunosuppressive drugs. You may be at a <strong>higher risk of getting COVID-19 infection</strong>, with higher chance of complications. So, it is better to be safe, and stay healthy.</p> <p>So here’s sharing some important do’s and don’ts for you:</p> <p><u><strong>Specific Measures:</strong></u></p> <p><strong>1. Avoid hospital visits</strong>…go for <strong>online or telemedicine consultations</strong> as far as possible.</p> <p>2.<strong>Take all your medications </strong>on time. No need to alter your current medications.</p> <p>3. Keep ample <strong>supply </strong>of your <strong>medications</strong>.</p> <p>4. <strong>No medication</strong> <strong>or vaccination is advised currently for prevention</strong>. <strong>No self-medication.</strong></p> <p>5. <strong>In case of symptoms</strong> such as cough, fever, breathing difficulty, consult your transplant team doctor immediately.</p> <p>6. Eat healthy <strong>balanced diet and stay hydrated.</strong></p> <p><u><strong>General Measures:</strong></u></p> <p>1. <strong>Stay</strong> <strong>Indoors, </strong>Maintain <strong>social distancing (preferably 2 metres!).</strong></p> <p>2. <strong>Use a mask.</strong></p> <p>3. <strong>Avoid touching your face </strong>unnecessarily.</p> <p>4. <strong>Frequently wash hands </strong>with soap or alcohol-based hand wash.</p>
