From Lyme to Leading Research: Nikki Schultek's Mission to Decode Chronic Illness

In this powerful episode, I sit down with Nikki Schultek, Lyme conqueror, researcher and a true force behind some of the most important work happening in chronic illness today. Nikki shares her personal Lyme journey. But her story doesn't stop at healing; it's what she's doing now that is creating waves. As the founding director of the Pathobiome Research Center, co-founder and executive director of the Alzheimer's Pathobiome Initiative, and founder of the Intracell Research Group, Nikki is deeply involved in groundbreaking research that is reshaping how we understand chronic illness.  We discussed PANS and PANDAS, the connection between infection and neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer's and ALS and the incredible amount of research happening that is bringing real hope to those still searching for answers. The Mouth-Body Connection: How Oral Health Impacts Chronic Illness

In today's episode we’re diving into one of the most overlooked yet critically important pieces of the chronic illness puzzle — the mouth. Joining me is Dr. Alexander Volchonok, founder of TetraHealth Centers and a nationally recognized leader in biologic dentistry. Today’s conversation will explore how biologic dentistry connects the dots between oral health and systemic illness. Biologic dentistry is not just about teeth — it’s about understanding the mouth as an integral part of the immune and neurological systems. Dr Alex covers topics like mercury fillings, root canals, TMJ, and everything you need to understand the mouth-body connection. These issues often go undetected in conventional models of care, so this episode is a must-listen for patients and practitioners seeking answers when traditional approaches fall short. Dr Alex and his team use advanced diagnostics such as 3D CBCT imaging, biocompatibility testing, ozone protocols, and meticulous surgical techniques. TetraHealth helps patients reduce inflammatory burden and restore physiologic balance. TetraHealth also offers telehealth consultations. Dr Alex is generously offering a $100 discount on initial consults for listeners who mention this podcast.  For more information: mytetrahealth.com Instagram: Tetrahealth Biologic Dentistry Don't miss out—download, add, or follow to stay tuned for our episodes and new stories every Wednesday. The Truth Behind Intrusive Thoughts: Brittney's Journey to the Real Diagnosis and Reclaiming Her Life

In today's episode, I'm joined by Brittney as she opens up in what may be the most raw, real, and emotional conversation I've ever been a part of.  Brittney shares her journey as a mother whose life was changed dramatically after the birth of her second child.  What began as anxiety and leg pain quickly escalated into severe intrusive thoughts that eventually led her to admitting herself into a psychiatric facility, desperate for answers. She eventually learned of her true diagnosis: PANS, Lyme & co-infections. Her healing journey started at Sanoviv in Mexico, an inpatient medical facility that addressed every layer of her illness, including physical treatment, nutrition and mental health care.  Through intensive therapies including hyperthermia, FMT, and Plasmapheresis she began reclaiming her life. This episode is a powerful testimony of resilience, faith and the importance of proper diagnosis.  It is a reminder that when symptoms are dismissed or misunderstood, the story is not over. There is hope, there are answers, and healing is possible.
