About Mama Mystery with Kelly Evans
Mama Mystery isn't your average true crime podcast. Every Tuesday, your host Kelly rips into the cases that keep people up at night: the headline-grabbers everyone thinks they know, and the overlooked ones that deserve a hell of a lot more attention. Backed by real research (not just Wikipedia and vibes), Kelly breaks down evidence, picks apart theories, and calls out the details that don't add up — all in a voice that feels less "true crime lecture" and more "your friend who's read every case file." Her husband Austin crashes the mic often enough to keep things honest and occasionally hilarious. This isn't storytelling for shock value — it's for the victims who deserve to be remembered right and the listeners who want the truth, not the theatrics. Subscribe, get obsessed, and join a community that takes true crime as seriously as it deserves. Make sure you also follow True Crime Kelly on Facebook and TikTok to stay up to date on all things True Crime. Welcome to Mama Mystery. ✨

[…] The next night, Thursday, January 12th, at 8 p.m., Kim saw four people walking away from the Job Corps Center towards 17th Street. Krista, D'Darrel, Shadala, and Colleen Slemmer. So how did they get Colleen to go with them? The basic story across every source I've found is that Colleen was lured out with drugs. In her confession, Krista said she asked Colleen to walk with her to the Blockbuster store, and on the way, she told her that she had a bag of weed hidden in Tyson Park. A Knoxville News report says the bait was getting a video and smoking some pot together. Another account says Colleen was told they wanted to make peace with her and share some marijuana. […]
