[…] All right, well, a call on the doors. Well, the scores on the doors last night in the US, Dow Jones falling 347 points or 0.67%, 51,482. The NASDAQ down 0.900%, 248, 26,820. The S&P 500 down 60.77 in the middle for Diddle, 76.84. The Russell 2000 down 20 points or 0.69%, 28.18. The VIX volatility index, and I've written about this this morning in my article, was up 8.1%, 1.2 points to 16.07%. Sox Semi Index down 1.6 and the Max 7 down 1.5%. Over in China, it fell 3.1% yesterday. Japan down 0.4. Hong Kong down rather up 0.5. And we did see US bond yields heading higher again. Higher bond yields, lower bond prices obviously, but higher bond yields mean the inflation story continues to push Things higher, interest rates higher and commodities lower. […]
