Another reason for thinking that Maine is quite a unique state and one that I've really enjoyed hiking this year. At the top of Moxie Ball, we were rewarded with extensive views once more, predominantly of lakes, which appears to be one of Maine's big features. Then the beginning of the climb down featured a dead straight path fashioned out of the granite. And it must have been done by scraping the moss back from the path. It was striking. And I'd imagine it takes some maintaining. But I've noticed that Maine is really well maintained throughout. […]
