In the latest Morgans Startup Series, Chris Titley has a follow-up chat with Jodie Mlikota from Gathar (Private Company). Through the Gathar marketplace, cooks and chefs connect with hosts looking to create amazing dinner parties at home, without the hard work. We last chatted with Gathar in August last year as they were launching into Brisbane, and have subsequently launched into Bryon Bay, Sydney and Melbourne as well as innovating through the isolation period via an “Isolation degustation” with over 200 participants enjoying a 4-course degustation set menu within their homes all at once via Youtube with a live musician. The company has recently raised $600k to expand their growth on the B2B side and expand their geographic locations. They are currently having their biggest month ever since inception.

Morgans adviser Chris Titley chatted to Josh Foreman, Founder, and CEO of Indebted. Indebted is an Australian fintech that uses technology to enable collections for overdue bad and doubtful debts. The company has recently raised over $14m to expand and grow and is backed by Westpac’s venture capital arm – Reinventure as well as Carthona Capital. The company, which has over 60 employees, uses its own technology to connect with customers to ensure they can repay their debts on a personal level and stay on top of their overall financial wellness. The pair discuss, COVID-19, and the trends Josh Foreman is seeing, as well as some business advice for other aspiring entrepreneurs.
