Wie interessant ist Pro-AV für Thomann, Hans?
Letzte Woche war Markus Wilmsmann von mothergrid in Treppendorf zu Gast – an einem Ort, den vermutlich jede und jeder in unserer Branche kennt. Thomann hat den Musikalienhandel in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten grundlegend verändert. Was einst als fränkisches Familienunternehmen begann, ist heute einer der größten Musikhändler der Welt. Für die professionelle Veranstaltungstechnik ist jedoch eine andere Frage spannend: Welche Rolle will Thomann künftig in unserem Markt spielen? Die Zeichen mehren sich. Mit Thomann Audio Professionell, den Live Days, der Übernahme von TAL Chemnitz und dem Inspizientensystem t.inspi ist das Unternehmen heute deutlich sichtbarer als noch vor wenigen Jahren. Genau darüber habe ich mit Hans Thomann gesprochen. Über die Besonderheiten des Pro-AV-Marktes. Über die Grenzen von Skalierung. Über Vertrauen, Beratung und die Frage, warum professionelle Veranstaltungstechnik nach anderen Regeln funktioniert als der klassische Musikalienhandel. Und natürlich darüber, wie sich die Vertriebslandschaft in den kommenden Jahren verändern könnte. Besonders interessant fand ich dabei, dass Hans Thomann an mehreren Stellen deutlich macht, wo er die Grenzen seines eigenen Geschäftsmodells sieht – und gleichzeitig skizziert, wohin sich Thomann im professionellen Markt entwickeln könnte.

Diese Folge widmet sich dem Berufsbild des Lichtsystemers/Lichtsystemerin und wurde am 24.11. 2025 von Jens Langner in München aufgenommen. Gast des Lichtgespräches war Martin Meyer. Er ist einer der angesehensten Lichtsystemer in Deutschland. Mit Martin habe ich in dieser Folge u.a. erörtert, was man mitbringen sollte, um Erfolg in dem Beruf Lichtsystemer zu haben und wie sein Arbeitsalltag auf einer Baustelle und im Büro aussieht.
