Marron on Navigating Life and Holding Space for our Genuine Emotions
Marron Gebremeskel is an Immigration Attorney and daughter of Eritrean refugees. For more than a decade, Marron owned and operated her immigration law practice where she advocated for immigrants. She has also served as an Asylum Officer and as an Immigration Services Officer for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security in Houston, Texas. She recently served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Fort Worth, Texas. She continues to consult immigration attorneys through her law practice and is an adjunct professor teaching Immigration Law. Since childhood Marron’s writing has served as one of her favorite hobbies and as therapy, and she continues to use it as such while navigating through life. Cactus Fruit is her debut book about her life experiences. Marron is a wife and mother to three boys, her greatest accomplishments. Join us as we dive into her book and explore what it looks like to hold space for our genuine emotions.

Lidiaana on Body Confidence and Cultivating our Feminine Energy as Habesha Women
Lidiaana is an Award Winning Eritrean singer, dancer and confidence coach Lidiaana embodies one of London’s brightest new entrepreneurial talents, with the passion, prowess and creative dedication of a genuine artiste. She relocated from Germany to London to kick-start her career. She’s performed alongside the likes of Justin Timberlake, the 1975, and London’s Philharmonic Orchestra. Touring in her Eritrean motherland saw her win the Raimoq Award #3 for the best single of the year. In conjunction with her music, she also branched into charity work by founding the ‘Lidiaana Foundation’, which gives deprived children a chance of an education. Moreover, she has been modelling, appearing in adverts and music videos and keeping us very happy and entertained with her Happy Monday Videos aka #AfroliciousMonday. In 2014 Lidiaana started working as a dancer and choreographer in Music Videos and worked with the likes of Grammy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson, Zayn Malik, Fergie, Stormzy, Emeli Sandé, Olamide, Stefflon Don and many more. She then decided to start her own dance company “Shégitu - Sensual Dance for Ladies” in 2016 to help women become more confident in their bodies through dance and confidence coaching. In 2021 she released her first e-book ‘5 Steps to becoming a more Confident You”.

Haben Girma on Pushing Through Cultural and Societal Limitations
Haben Girma, the first deaf blind woman to graduate from Harvard Law is a trailblazer in her own rights. As a disability rights lawyer, advocate, author and speaker she is bringing disability advocacy and inclusion to mainstream media and making a difference. Not only has she opened our eyes to the world of possibilities for people with disability, notably through her own achievements as a deaf-blind woman, but she is making strides in creating a world that does not put limitations on people with disabilities, but instead changes the environment to include them.
