<p>Hörerpost zum Auftakt: R32 oder R33 – nach der großen Skyline-Folge haben wir's immer noch nicht drauf. Der Besitzer des Autos meldet sich auf Instagram. Grüße gehen raus. Außerdem: Welche Automarke wünscht ihr euch zurück? Saab. Sofort. Rover kurz danach. Und drei japanische Autos der 80er und 90er – Benni nimmt einen Toyota HiAce Super Custom Limited mit Gegensprechanlage, Sascha einen Previa mit Kühlschrank.</p><p>Dann wird es staatstragend. Das Hauptthema führt von einem demolierten Mercedes W140 auf einem Betonsockel in Tiflis zu einem der spektakulärsten Attentate der postsowjetischen Geschichte: Der Konvoi von Eduard Schewardnadse wird 1998 mit RPG-7-Granaten beschossen – und der W140 hält. <p>Wolfsburg, Wasserski und Depeche Mode – bevor es inhaltlich losgeht, wird erstmal gelebt. Benni war in der Autostadt, hat ins Lenkrad gebissen und stand kurz darauf im Neoprenanzug am Allersee. Sascha hat eine Gartenbank abgeschliffen. Die Prioritäten sind klar.</p><p>Dann: <strong>Kaffee und Karossen</strong> in Einbeck. Ein Daihatsu Applause mit Rammstein-Kennzeichenhalter, ein R32 in Weiß und ein Chevy SSR Pickup. Dazu ein antiquarisches Ferrari-Buch mit mysteriösem Lesezeichen und der Verdacht, dass Sascha das war. Sascha freut sicher weiter über da erfolgreiche Benzin & Koffein am Erwin-Hymer-Museum.</p><p>Das Hauptthema führt von Hamamatsu nach Europa: Die Geschichte des <strong>Suzuki Wagon R</strong> und was er ausgelöst hat. Wie aus einem Nachkriegs-Konstruktionsprinzip eine der erfolgreichsten Fahrzeugklassen Japans wurde – vom Alto über den <strong>Daihatsu Move</strong> (in Turin designt, versteht sich) bis zum <strong>Tanto</strong> mit seinen wegfallenden B-Säulen. Und dann natürlich: der <strong>Daihatsu Materia</strong> – in Japan Coo, in Europa zu früh, zu eigen, zu gut.</p><p>Parkour: Ein Materia mit abgelaufenem TÜV und einer ehrlichen Inserat-Überschrift.
