[…] And I think when we choose suffering and we have the like time and ability and privilege to do that, it is a way for us to have intention about it. We can choose to, we can let that teach us something about ourselves. And it's the suffering we don't choose that really asks a lot of humanity. And I think that sort of having to endure suffering through like the act of choosing it can make us more empathetic as humans. And perhaps we can allow those experiences to shape the way we take care for each other. And I feel like really grateful that I have had such the privilege in life to choose suffering because I feel like that's just been a way for me to be more empathetic towards myself when I fall into these times of pain and suffering that I don't choose.
