<p>You know the rules… but are you actually using them?<br>In this episode, we break the gap between knowing English and speaking it—helping you turn grammar into real conversations with natural expressions, practical strategies, and a more confident voice.</p><p>If you want to move from B1 to B2…</p><p>Stop learning words.</p><p>Start learning <strong>chunks</strong>.</p><p>Expressions like:</p><ul><li>“I ended up…”</li><li>“It turned out that…”</li><li>“I was about to…”</li><li>“The thing is…”</li></ul><p></p><p>A lot of B1 learners struggle with this:</p><p>Telling stories.</p><p>But here’s the trick—you don’t need perfect grammar.</p><p>You need <strong>structure + flow</strong>.</p><p>Try this simple pattern:</p><ul><li>Set the scene: “So yesterday…” / “Last weekend…”</li><li>Add a reaction: “It was kind of weird…” / “It was actually really fun…”</li><li>Tell the event: “I went to…” / “I saw…”</li><li>Add a twist: “But then…” / “And suddenly…”</li><li>Close it: “So yeah, that’s what happened.”</li></ul><p></p><p>You need <strong>awareness of grammar</strong>…<br>but also <strong>flexibility</strong>.</p><p>Let’s compare:</p><p>Formal / textbook:</p><ul><li>“I am going to go now.”</li></ul><p>Natural:</p><ul><li>“I’m gonna go.”</li></ul><p>Formal:</p><ul><li>“Do you want to eat something?”</li></ul><p>Natural:</p><ul><li>“You wanna grab something?”</li></ul><p>Formal:</p><ul><li>“I do not know.”</li></ul><p>Natural:</p><ul><li>“I don’t know” / “No idea.”</li></ul><p></p>
