Podcast Overview

Mike from Wack Brackets and Only Stupid People Podcasts and Mel and Keith from Rock Hippie Adventures Podcast join up for an un-sanitized look at music. Each week they will discuss songs that relate to the weekly changing theme. They will create musical matrimony with a unified song, something new, something old and something borrowed (this is the Genre Bending song). Join this motley crew as they give musical commentary on the nostalgic, the new, and the band you never thought you would hear on a podcast.

Episode 16: Fuck You Songs (Limp Bizkit, Pantera, Glass Tides)

What?! Mike, Mel and Keith are throwing out double birds for this week’s episode. They are fired up and are sharing their favorite fuck you picks. They start off with chainsaws in their pockets for quite possibly the WORST song ever. They tear into the lyrics of this Joint pick and have a ton of fun killing a dead horse with the lyrics throughout the episode. Mike makes a mid-show change for his old school pick, Mel throws out a cover by a band for quite possibly one of the best “I’m done with you” songs, and Keith brings the show to a close with his genre bending pic that is sneaky in its eff you politeness. By the end of this episode, you’ll probably hate the Joint pick just as much as we do.

And Mike finishes off this awkward viewing with his genre bender which leaves us all in a happier place. This episode finally dies off slowly with a lot of tears from laughter.

Episode 14 - One Hit Wonders (Marcy Playground, Harvey Danger, Middle Class Rut)

Ice Ice Baby didn't make this list. However, Mike, Mel and Keith do find some classic picks to perk up your nostalgic ears. Mike and Mel immediately derail this weeks episode with their own versions of the meaning behind the joint pick's title. Keith brings a blast from the past that will make your flagpole stand when no one is there to salute. Mike shares a new song that you should have heard but may not remember that you did. Mel's genre bender is just trash as usual. Well, that's Keith's opinion but Mike and Mel have other thought on the matter.
