You might have thought this was going to be a list-acle based on the title, however, I'm here to convince you that the best alternative career for musicians is software development and web development. Musicians were born to do this! I'm living proof of it. I went from struggling artist to thriving aerospace software engineer. Now it wasn't easy, but looking back, my background and training as a musician prepared me to succeed more than I ever could have imagined.
