<p>In 1969, about a year removed from the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., students at Dudley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina started protesting after a black student was barred from the ballot in the race for student council president. Unrest broke out on campus. Eventually, the protests made their way to North Carolina A&T State University campus and gunshots rang out. The National Guard was called to campus. Gunfire was exchanged between law enforcement and students, and in the early morning hours, a sophomore by the name of Willie Grimes was shot and killed. His murder remains unsolved. This is the story of what’s become known as the greatest mystery in the history of North Carolina A&T.</p>
