Podcast Overview

Since the death of my dad when I was young, I have been managing grief. This podcast details how I have been managing my grief. I was 14 when my dad died and now I am 44. 30 years has seen a lot of changes in my life, naturally. I discuss the key moments in my life where grief has played a part. From dealing with and managing my interactions following his death, right up to the current time where lockdown stopped my bereavement counselling, I will talk frankly about how I have managed to deal with grief.

Ep 1 - When I got told he was dying

It feels right that in this first episode I explain the lead up to my dads death. Its a fairly short episode as being the first one, its emotionally difficult to explain and I have left some of the worse bits out i.e loss of weight, becoming frail and some of the stories I was told when he was near death. Thats not important and will remain a personal memory.

The next episodes will cover how I dealt with the loss of my dad.

If you want to reach out with your own stories of grief, please do - greg.thomlinson@hotmail.co.uk
