Deadbeat Dads, Deadbeat Friends

Remembering Rene Auberjonois

I start the podcast paying homage to actor Rene Auberjonois, who passed away on December 8th from a courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. If you don't know who he is, please look him up and see his long repertoire of theater, television and movies.

Part 1: Deadbeat Dads

Deadbeat dads are a single mom's worst nightmare. When you live and die by the paycheck, you need that child support to help steady the ship, but the deadbeat dad plays the damning game of switching jobs when the child support courts find you and garnish your wages.

Part 2: Deadbeat Friends

Deadbeat friends can also be a nightmare. You need your friend for emotional support, but you are only met with vague messages, or you get ghosted altogether. Then you have to make the decision whether or not to continue a friendship that clearly isn't working anymore.

Music from https://filmmusic.io by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com). Just Because I'm Alone Doesn't Mean I'm Lonely

Those of you who are single, do you feel like all of your friends are trying to set you up on a date because they assume you're lonely? Do people give you funny looks when you go out by yourself? I will address that, as well as commentate on the last ditch effort that women (and maybe some men) throw out there to try and derail an argument. It's totally related, trust me!

Music from https://filmmusic.io by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com).
