By definition, buying power consists of the exchange of goods and services and the needs within our communities. <p><strong>American History Fact - On January 6, 2021 the 45th President of United States incited a terrorist attack on the United States Capitol Building. This criminal and violent riot was led by a mob of pro-Trump supporters. By the following day ONLY 52 arrested had been made when hundreds flooded the nation’s capital. Terrorist were inside the capital before the national guard was even activated.</strong></p> <p><strong>Vs.</strong></p> <p><strong>May 2020 (after a Minneapolis police officer killed George Floyd by pressing his knee into Floy’s neck) prompted a series of nationwide protest. On June 2, 2020 National Guard troops were deployed to the Lincoln Memorial to meet hundreds of Americans who were leading a protest in hopes of seeking justice for black lives in America. There was an estimated 14,000 people arrested while protesting the murder of George Floyd. Peaceful protest seeking equity in the American justice system have been repeatedly met with police, assault rifles, shields, tear gas and violence.</strong></p> <p><strong>Join us as we discuss this smeared reality in America. Our licensed therapist will end the episode with mental health tips black/brown people can implement to deal with the impact of the truth we all witnessed on a national stage.</strong></p>
