The Embarrassing Gospel of Mark
The Gospel of Mark is the earliest and most mysterious narrative of Jesus. Unlike Paul’s letters, it offers an actual story, but one written as a riddle, wrapped in mystery. Though later absorbed into the New Testament, Mark has been largely misunderstood and forgotten. Matthew and Luke rewrite and reshape Mark, altering its message so much that Mark’s original voice disappears. In this sense, it has gone “unread” for nearly two thousand years. In this video, Dr. Tabor restores Mark to its original historical context as a post-war apocalyptic work after the destruction of Jerusalem, one that presents a radically different view of God, the Messiah, and Israel than later Christianity. Mark emerges as a three-part drama ending with a dead, abandoned Messiah and an open-ended challenge to the reader: to understand its hidden meaning, if they have eyes to see and ears to hear. The More I Studied, the Less I Believed | Jen Fishburne's Deconversion Story
The More I Studied, the Less I Believed | Jen Fishburne's Deconversion Story In this powerful episode, Derek Lambert interviews Jen Fishburne about her journey from passionate Christian to full deconversion. What began as a sincere pursuit of biblical truth through deep study and devotion eventually led Jen to question everything she once believed. Raised in a committed Christian household, Jen developed an early love for scripture. But as she encountered conflicting doctrines across denominations, her curiosity turned into a quest for clarity. Applying critical thinking to her faith, Jen began peeling back the layers of tradition and theology—only to discover that the deeper she looked, the more the narrative unraveled. Her journey is a powerful testament to the transformative—and often painful—process of seeking truth at all costs. ================== FIND ALL LINKS HERE 👉 https://linktr.ee/mythvision (https://linktr.ee/mythvision) ================== RECOMMENDED ONLINE COURSES HERE: 👉👉 Checkout MVP Courses to find new and upcoming online courses: https://mvp-courses.com/ (https://mvp-courses.com/) ================= GET RECOMMENDED BOOKS HERE: 👉 https://amzn.to/35FqNYf (https://amzn.to/35FqNYf)================= Please consider supporting MythVision by joining our Patreon or contributing a one-time donation: Patreon: 👉 https://www.patreon.com/mythvision (https://www.patreon.com/mythvision) Paypal: 👉 @dereklambert7 Cashapp: 👉 $rewiredaddiction Venmo: 👉 @Derek-Lambert-9 ================= CONTACT ME Website: 👉 https://mythvisionpodcast.com/ (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/) Email MythVision: 👉 mythvisionpodcast@gmail.com (mythvisionpodcast@gmail.com) Facebook Page: 👉 https://www.facebook.com/MythVision/ (https://www.facebook.com/MythVision/) Facebook Group: 👉 https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheWaterBoyZRadio/ (https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheWaterBoyZRadio/) Twitter X: 👉 https://x.com/DerekPodcast (https://x.com/DerekPodcast) - - @DerekPodcast TikTok: 👉 https://www.tiktok.com/@mythvision/ (https://www.tiktok.com/@mythvision/) Instagram: 👉 https://www.instagram.com/dereklambert_7 (https://www.instagram.com/dereklambert_7) Discord: 👉 https://discord.gg/dRQXdZBq6E (https://discord.gg/dRQXdZBq6E) ================= 👉👉 Checkout Our YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/@MythVisionPodcast (www.youtube.com/@MythVisionPodcast) =================

Shaping the Son of God: The Literary Evolution of Jesus | with Dr. Dennis R. MacDonald
Shaping the Son of God: The Literary Evolution of Jesus | with Dr. Dennis R. MacDonald Our culture is well-populated with superheroes: Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, and more. Superheroes are not a modern invention; in fact, they are prehistoric. The gods and goddesses of the Greeks, for example, walked on water, flew, visited the land of the dead, and lived forever. Ancient Christians told similar stories about Jesus, their primary superhero—he possessed incredible powers of healing, walked on water, rose from the dead, and more. Dennis R. MacDonald shows how the stories told in the Gospels parallel many in Greek and Roman epics with the aim of compelling their readers into life-changing decisions to follow Jesus. MacDonald doesn’t call into question the existence of Jesus but rather asks readers to examine the biblical stories about him through a new, mythological lens.Dr. Dennis R. Macdonald has written many books where he discusses mimesis criticism and shows that the gospel writers borrowed form the epic Greek myths to create their Jesus myth. ==================FIND ALL LINKS HERE 👉 https://linktr.ee/mythvision (https://linktr.ee/mythvision)==================RECOMMENDED ONLINE COURSES HERE: 👉👉 Checkout MVP Courses to find new and upcoming online courses: https://mvp-courses.com/ (https://mvp-courses.com/) Dr. Dennis MacDonald’s Course, “Reading the Gospels with One Eye on Greek Poetry” - -https://mythvisionpodcast.com/homeric-mimesis (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/homeric-mimesis) Dr. James Tabor’s Course, “The Quest for the Historical Paul: Apostle or Apostate?” - -https://mythvisionpodcast.com/historicalpaul (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/historicalpaul) Dr. Kara Cooney’s Course, “Ancient Egyptian Cosmogony and Cosmology” - - https://mythvisionpodcast.com/egyptiancreation (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/egyptiancreation) Dr. Joshua Bowen’s Course, “Myths Borrowed By The Old Testament” - - https://mythvisionpodcast.com/ot-myths (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/ot-myths) Dr. Robyn Faith Walsh’s Course, “The Gospel Masterclass” - -https://mythvisionpodcast.com/gospels (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/gospels) Dr. James Tabor’s Course, “Jesus and The Dead Sea Scrolls” - -https://mythvisionpodcast.com/dss (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/dss) Dr. Robyn Faith Walsh’s Course, “Unforgettable Footprints of the Pauline Legacy” - -https://mythvisionpodcast.com/paulslegacy (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/paulslegacy) Dr. Kipp Davis’s Course, "Real Ancient Israelite Religions" - -https://mythvisionpodcast.com/israelite-religions (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/israelite-religions) Dr. Richard Carrier's Course, "New Testament Studies for Everyone" - -https://www.mythvisionpodcast.com/nt-studies (https://www.mythvisionpodcast.com/nt-studies) Dr. James Tabor’s Course, "Creating Jesus: Why Mark’s Gospel Was Forgotten?" - -https://www.mythvisionpodcast.com/firstgospel (https://www.mythvisionpodcast.com/firstgospel) Dr. Dale C. What If Jesus Never Existed? | Joel Pearson's Case on Why Doubt is Reasonable
What If Jesus Never Existed? | Joel Pearson's Case on Why Doubt is Reasonable 🔍 Did Jesus Really Exist? Or Was He a Myth? In this deep-dive conversation, Derek Lambert (Host of MythVision) sits down with Joel Pearson to explore one of the most provocative questions in religious history: What if Jesus never existed? This episode challenges traditional narratives by examining the mythicist position—the theory that Jesus of Nazareth may have been a mythological creation, not a historical figure. 📖 Together, they analyze: The absence of a real-world Jesus in Paul’s epistles Contradictions and multiple portrayals of Jesus in early Christian sources Parallels between Gospel stories and ancient mythologies like Gilgamesh, Homer, and the Hebrew Bible Textual inconsistencies and possible forgery in the Bible Astrological and symbolic elements hidden in the Jesus story In this comprehensive exchange, Pearson and Lambert argue that there is no definitive evidence proving Jesus existed as a historical person, although they acknowledge it's possible. Their skepticism stems from: Lack of consistent early documentation about a singular Jesus. Contradictory portrayals across sources and traditions. Parallels with earlier mythologies (e.g., Gilgamesh, Homer, Hebrew Bible). The theological evolution of Jesus in Paul’s letters and the Gospels. Textual redactions and interpolations over time. They emphasize that the most intellectually honest stance is agnostic skepticism, remaining open to both possibilities but demanding strong evidence for belief. 👀 Whether you’re a believer, skeptic, or curious thinker, this conversation encourages critical inquiry and a willingness to ask, "What if?" Join us as we unpack historical evidence, debate scholarly views, and consider the implications of a celestial, not historical, Christ. ==================FIND ALL LINKS HERE 👉 https://linktr.ee/mythvision (https://linktr.ee/mythvision)==================RECOMMENDED ONLINE COURSES HERE: 👉👉 Checkout MVP Courses to find new and upcoming online courses: https://mvp-courses.com/ (https://mvp-courses.com/) =================Please consider support MythVision by joining our Patreon or contributing a one-time donation: Patreon: 👉 https://www.patreon.com/mythvision (https://www.patreon.com/mythvision)Paypal: 👉 @dereklambert7Cashapp: 👉 $rewiredaddictionVenmo: 👉 @Derek-Lambert-9=================CONTACT MEWebsite: 👉 https://mythvisionpodcast.com/ (https://mythvisionpodcast.com/)Email MythVision: 👉 mythvisionpodcast@gmail.com (mythvisionpodcast@gmail.com)Facebook Page: 👉 https://www.facebook.com/MythVision/ (https://www.facebook.com/MythVision/)Facebook Group: 👉 https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheWaterBoyZRadio/ (https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheWaterBoyZRadio/)Twitter: 👉 https://twitter.com/DerekPodcast (https://twitter.com/DerekPodcast) - - @DerekPodcastTikTok: 👉 https://www.tiktok.com/@mythvision/ (https://www.tiktok.com/@mythvision/)Instagram: 👉 https://www.instagram.com/dereklambert_7 (https://www.instagram.com/dereklambert_7)Discord: 👉 https://discord.gg/dRQXdZBq6E (https://discord.gg/dRQXdZBq6E)=================👉👉 Checkout Our YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com/@MythVisionPodcast (http://www.youtube.com/@MythVisionPodcast)=================

Did Genesis Steal from Babylon? Creation & Flood Myths EXPOSED!
How Old Is the Hebrew Bible, Really? Russell Gmirkin is an independent scholar known for his research on the origins of the Torah—also called the Pentateuch, which includes the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. He’s especially recognized for advocating the controversial view that the Pentateuch was composed in its entirety by a group of Jewish scholars at the Library of Alexandria around 273–272 BCE. According to this theory, the same scholars were also responsible for the early Greek translation of the Torah known as the Septuagint. While this proposed date is much later than the traditional timeline, a growing number of scholars now take the Hellenistic dating of the Pentateuch seriously. We're currently producing a video series based on his book Berossus and Genesis, Manetho and Exodus, where Gmirkin explores the dating of the Pentateuch in depth. This is part 3 of the video series. As an Old Testament minimalist, Gmirkin challenges conventional assumptions about biblical history. In this particular episode, we focus on the creation and flood narratives, tracing their roots to earlier Mesopotamian and Greek mythologies.

An Interview with Jesus? Meet Alan John Miller, the Self-Proclaimed Messiah
In this captivating episode, host Derek Lambert sits down with an Australian man who claims to be Jesus of Nazareth, having lived as Jesus Christ for over 2,000 years. This intriguing interview explores topics that challenge mainstream religious beliefs and offers a unique perspective on spirituality, love, and the nature of divinity. Discover the story of Alan John Miller, the spiritual teacher behind the Divine Truth movement based in Queensland, Australia. Known to his followers (or devoted disciples) as A.J. or ‘Aussie Jesus,’ Miller claims to be the returned Jesus of Nazareth. Join us as he shares his story, his spiritual journey, and the teachings of Divine Truth. Whether you’re a skeptic, a seeker, or simply curious, this conversation will leave you with plenty to think about. --- What is Divine Truth? Founded in 2007, Divine Truth presents itself as "the absolute truth of the universe," focusing on soul evolution, love, and a personal relationship with God. A.J. teaches that this process mirrors his own journey as Jesus in the first century, emphasizing key practices such as: Prayer and Divine Love: Developing a heartfelt longing for God’s love. Emotional Processing: Clearing emotional errors to purify the soul. Loving Desires and Responsibility: Following passions while taking full responsibility for personal emotions. Divine Truth is often regarded as a controversial new religious movement. A.J.'s partner, Mary Suzanne Luck, asserts that she is the reincarnation of Mary Magdalene. The couple characterizes Divine Truth as a non-religious movement, although critics have accused them of operating a cult. Alan and Mary claim to have lived only one prior life on Earth during the 1st century AD, spending 1900+ years in the spirit world after their deaths. They say they learned a process to return to Earth, which Miller calls “reincarnation,” though his concept differs substantially from most other philosophies of reincarnation. A.J. has created an extensive library of videos available on the Divine Truth's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@Divinetruthmain), where he explains the principles of "Divine Truth." In addition, he has written numerous letters signed as ‘Jesus,’ offering deeper insights into his beliefs and philosophy which can be found on the Divine Truth website (https://www.divinetruth.com/). --- Disclaimer: The views expressed in this video are personal to the guest and do not necessarily reflect those of MythVision Podcast.
