張海鹽則不以爲意，他實在想不通這個世界對于嗅覺靈敏的人來說是壹種怎樣的呈現，他覺得人的血液氣味還不都是壹樣的，都是壹種類似蘑菇的金屬芳香氣味，能有什麽特別。雖然張海鹽的主動出擊有了成效，爲破案找到了線索，不過很可惜，他們只捕捉到了血迹，並沒有抓到腌人之人。但是這對于張海蝦來說，已經足夠了。

由于20世紀初的科學知識並不普及，所以對于壹些非常規的自然現象，很容易以訛傳訛。學過高中地理的人都知道，海霧不過是暖濕空氣遇到冷海面之後生成的壹種自然現象，在這種能見度較低的環境中，海難事故發生率便會增加。還有壹種海霧是鹽層輻射霧，風浪激起的浪花飛沫經蒸發後留下鹽粒，借湍流作用在低空構成含鹽的氣層，夜間因輻射冷卻，就會在鹽層上生成霧。
