[…] Well, the most amazing thing about that is that many people know that phrase, but they assume he's talking about something medical. But he was talking about fire. He had written it in an essay that he wrote anonymously. sent to his own newspaper, which he owned, which was called the Pennsylvania Gazette. And he outlined ways to not only prevent fires, but to suppress fires. At that time in Philadelphia and across the major cities in the United States, fire was sort of accepted as inevitable, just something that would happen. And then you'd have to rebuild and deal with it. And from his major experiences in his life and where he lived and so on, you realize that that's not the case. […]
