And she did a lot of very unusual things with her career and kind of survived it, managed to keep having a career. She traveled to Cuba. She traveled to Vietnam during the Vietnam War. And when she went there as an American woman and like very blonde and white looking lady would walk into whatever the organizing space was and say, like, I'm a communist and I want to learn your songs of liberation in your language. And then she would learn them. And then she started a record label called Paradon to distribute songs of liberation from many different countries so that Americans could could learn them, basically.
