#45 - Velzeboer en Van 't Wout scoren op WK: "Willen allebei winnen, Jens is meer laid-back" (S03)
Zeven medailles scoorde de Nederlandse shorttrack-equipe tijdens het WK in Montréal. Drie weken na de Olympische Spelen bleek de goede vorm nog altijd aanwezig bij Xandra Velzeboer en Jens van 't Wout. Velzeboer onderstreepte die vorm met twee gouden medailles, individueel op de 500 meter en met haar teamgenoten in de vrouwen-relay. Van 't Wout pakte twee zilveren medailles. Gewonnen zilver, want de aanloop naar het WK was door ziekte verre van ideaal. Bovendien verbaasde hij de shorttrackwereld opnieuw met een veelbesproken en fabuleuze inhaalactie. Nu WK en het seizoen erop zitten, schuiven Xandra Velzeboer en Jens van 't Wout aan bij de seizoensafsluiter van de NOS schaatspodcast.

In de laatste NOS schaatspodcast van het seizoen blikt Sebastiaan Timmerman met Erik van Dijk en Erben Wennemars terug op een prachtig WK Allround. En dat doen ze met een gouden gast: Bjarne Rykkje, de bondscoach van de Noorse wereldkampioenen allround Ragne Wiklund en Sander Eitrem. En Rykkje had ook nieuws!

#43 - Het begon met ‘imagine if’: hoe Jens en Melle van ’t Wout hun shorttrackdromen waarmaakten (S03)
In de laatste olympische editie van de Schaatspodcast praat presentator Jeroen Stekelenburg met shorttrackbroers Jens en Melle van ’t Wout. Want hun Olympische Winterspelen voelen als een film: er gaan vijf medailles mee terug naar huize Van ’t Wout. En dat terwijl Jens sport vroeger eigenlijk ‘heel stom’ vond. Zijn broer Melle motiveerde hem om met hem mee het ijs op te gaan. Dat betaalde zich uit: Jens pakte deze Spelen twee gouden medailles en een bronzen, zijn broer Melle een zilveren én ze reden samen ook nog de mannenrelay - die ze wonnen. En nu? “We moeten even een meeting inplannen over wat onze volgende droom wordt.”
