‘Our Ocean: Our Future’ is the focus for the fourth and final episode in the Oceans of Learning podcast series as presenter Finn van der Aar finds out about the next generation that can seek to influence and engage with politicians and governments and why research and innovation will be so important in the fight for the marine environment. Finn speaks to two activists, Eimear Manning from ECO-UNESCO, and Gary Kett, a marine scientist, who are both also involved with the All-Atlantic Ocean Youth Ambassador Programme and who want more young people to come together for climate action. We all know that climate change is escalating and that human behaviour is having profound consequences for the planet, but you might not know how much of a role the oceans play in climate change and how badly they are being affected by our carbon emissions.
