Klambratún eða Miklatún
Almenningsgarður einn, miðsvæðis í Reykjavík, hefur frá 2009 heitið Klambratún. Borgarbúar hafa notað þetta nafn frá því á 6. áratugnum en ráðamenn í Reykjavík ákváðu þó að það skyldi heita Miklatún. Gluggað er í sögu þessara nafna og líka orðsins klömbur sem heiti túnsins er rakið til.

Fiskaheiti á lista í riti Lærdómslistafélagsins
Hið íslenska lærdómslistafélag gaf út ársrit með margvíslegum fróðleik Íslendingum til uppfræðslu. Félagið setti sér líka málstefnu sem fól ekki aðeins í sér að hreinsa málið af erlendum áhrifum heldur ekki síður að mynda ný íslensk orð til þess að auðveldara væri að skýra nýjungar fyrir lesendum ritsins. Árið 1780 voru birtir listar yfir plöntu-, fugla- og fiskaheiti og fiskaheitin eru hér tekin til skoðunar.

Listi Verkfræðingafjelagsins um orð úr viðskiftamali
Orðanefnd Verkfræðingafélagsins tók saman lista yfir orð úr viðskiptamáli fyrir atbeina verslunarmanna í Reykjavík árið 1926 og birti hann í Lesbók Morgunblaðsins. Hann kom líka út í litlu kveri nokkru síðar og þar kemur fram að Lestrarfélag kvenna Reykjavíkur tók þátt í gerð listans með Verkfræðingafélaginu. Á listanum kennir margra áhugaverðra grasa.
