Episode 12- To Live a Good Life

In this episode of Our Grandparent’s Teachings, our host Daanax.ils'eik (Chuck Miller) dives deep into an issue that faces all communities, substance abuse. In response, communities turned to elders for guidance on these issues. We hear from Shaaganastaa (Bob Sam) as he shares a traditional Tlingit story about the harms of substance abuse. We also learn from Ixht’ik’ Éesh (Steve Johnson) and Lakota Harden as well as some songs from the archives

If you have a story you would like to share, please reach out to storytelling@kcaw.org.
