Since late 1988, Dennis has been a pilot at American Airlines, retiring in 2024 as a 787 Dreamliner captain.<br /><br />Captain James also holds lifetime memberships in OBAP, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, NGPA, National Gay Pilots Association, and WAI, Women in Aviation International, and is the perfect captain to guide you through this dynamic exploration of the world of aviation.

She captained American's first all-female crew on the Boeing 727 and went on to make history again as the first woman in the world to captain the B 777 in 1998.
