Nu ik zo ongeveer 4,5 jaar gestopt ben met drinken, lijkt het alsof het altijd maar zo gemakkelijk gaat: leuke mensen om mee heen, een community gebouwd waar we samen sober naar feestjes en raves gaan, ik heb geleerd om te gaan met overweldigende innerlijke delen en eigenlijk speelt alcohol of de triggers rondom alcohol een steeds kleinere rol. MAAR dit is niet altijd zo geweest! Zeker niet. In het begin vond ik het spannend: ik stopte met iets leuks en wist niet wat ik ervoor terug zou krijgen of hoe het zou zijn. Ik voelde me onzeker, had last van vastgeroeste overtuigingen ('zonder alcohol is het saai'), maar wist toch dat ik dit wilde.
