All Is Lost | Job | Come Follow Me Fiction | Ark Conspiracy Ch. 30
The vault is sealed, the race is lost, and nobody will tell Noah whose fault it is — The Ark Conspiracy Ch. 30, a Come Follow Me story for August 10–16, "Yet Will I Trust in Him" (Job). THE STORY SO FAR:Seventeen-year-old Noah Reyes has crossed a drowned continent to reach his grandfather's hidden vault before the corporation that took his mother. He got through the door — but he wasn't the only one who did. This chapter walks beside this week's Come, Follow Me reading in Job. Like Job, Noah is handed disaster he didn't earn — and like Job's comforters, every adult around him has a tidy explanation for whose fault it is. The only person who refuses to give him an answer is the one who stays. A story about what you hold on to when the explanation never comes. Listen along with your weekly study, on a drive, or at the end of a long day. Scriptures: Job 1–3; 12–14; 19; 21–24; 38–40; 42Come, Follow Me lesson: "Yet Will I Trust in Him"Lesson dates: August 10–16 ABOUT THIS SERIES:The Ark Conspiracy is an original faith-fiction series that follows the weekly Come, Follow Me scriptures through story. New chapters each week.🔔 Subscribe so you don't miss what happens next. When something went wrong that wasn't your fault, what helped you carry it? The Long Night When God Stayed Close | Come Follow Me Bedtime Story | Job
A gentle bedtime story about a good man named Job, a very long night, and the God who never once walked away. A Come Follow Me bedtime story for August 10–16, "Yet Will I Trust in Him" (Job 1–3; 12–14; 19; 21–24; 38–40; 42). Tonight we visit a warm house on a hillside, a lamp glowing in the doorway, and sheep settling into the grass. Job was kind, and honest, and he prayed for his family every morning by name. Then a very hard season came, and almost everything he had was gone — through no fault of his own. Children learn something safe and true here: hard things sometimes happen to people who are good, and it never means God is upset with them. Job sits in the dust and says something brave — the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord — and then comes the long night, with all his questions and all the stars. God was there the whole time. And when God finally speaks, He doesn't scold Job for asking; He shows him the morning stars, the rain, the little animals He feeds when nobody is watching. Then the morning comes, and God gives Job a full life again — but first, Job prays for the friends who hurt him. Told slowly and gently for young listeners, with nothing frightening in it. Play this as the lights go down and let it carry your family into sleep. Yet Will I Trust in Him | Come Follow Me Morning Meditation | Job 13–42
Begin the day with the God who answered a suffering man not with an explanation, but with a sky full of morning stars. A Come Follow Me morning meditation for August 10–16, "Yet Will I Trust in Him" (Job 1–3; 12–14; 19; 21–24; 38–40; 42). This week we walk with Job — a good man who lost nearly everything and never lost his grip on God. We sit with him in the ashes as he says, "Blessed be the name of the Lord." We listen to his friends bring tidy answers to an untidy grief, and we hear Job refuse a comfort that isn't true: "Yet will I trust in Him." Then the wind rises, and the Lord answers out of the whirlwind — not with a reason, but with a question. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? When the morning stars sang together? Job's circumstances didn't change that day. His seeing did. "I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth Thee." If you are carrying a question this morning that no one has answered, you are in good company — and you are not required to resolve it before you are allowed to worship. Play this as you begin your day, before the demands of the morning rise.
