[…] You don't know if something's overvalued or undervalued unless you know what the average valuation is. People always say, oh, my stock is undervalued. Well, how do you know? Well, I know who's undervalued and who's overvalued. And the metric that I focus on now is what's called the operating cash flow. Operating cash flow is the difference between gold price and the cost to produce an ounce of gold. from the ground times the number of ounces a company produces. That gives you the operating cash flow of the industry. And every producer has an operating cash flow. And then if you divide that operating cash flow into the enterprise value, which is essentially a market capitalization, you get a number. […]
