Episode 16 Erkut Tokman

Erkut Tokman is an avid traveler between places, languages, cultures, and different art forms. He is a unique experimental poet, visual artist & performance artist, editor, and translator from Turkey. He has lived in London, Milano and Bucharest and is currently living in Ostrava, Czechia. Erkut published several poetry books, is editor of Vinolettera poetry magazine, is coordinator of the Izmir Poetry Festival, and has performed and collaborated internationally. He also has a background in theater and dance. Host Dirk Hülstrunk and Erkut decided to record a spontaneous podcast during a meeting in Prague in May 2026.

Episode 15 - Vojtěch Němec

With Vojtěch Němec (1983), a novelist, scholar, literary journalist, critic, and essayist from Czechia I discuss cyberpunk, postmodernism, autofiction, surrealism and James Joyce. Vojtěch is a unique writer, far from the mainstream. He writes experimental, psychedelic, grotesque, metaphysical prose and is best known for mixing diverse literary genres. He had been a resident artist at Literaturhaus Villa Clementine in Wiesbaden in November 2025 as part of a cultural exchange program of Hessischer Literaturrat. We recorded this session right before Christmas 2025, so don´t be surprised about the Happy X-Mas wishes in the end.

Jonas Elpelt ist nicht nur seit langem auf Spoken Word- und Poetry Slam Bühnen unterwegs, sondern auch Neurowissenschaftler. Elpelt versucht Wissenschaft und Poesie auf spannenden neuen Wegen zu verbinden. Im Rahmen seiner Doktorarbeit untersucht er individuelle Unterschiede der Tonwahrnehmung, Sprachbedeutungsauffassung und Kreativität. Seine Forschungsergebnisse präsentiert er nicht nur in wissenschaftlichen Publikationen, sondern auch poetisch-humorvoll auf Science-Slams.
