Liberation, Race, and Cuba: Public Forum #2

This episode took place at Esquina de Abuela in Allapattah. This event was a public discussion in response to the protests that took place in Cuba. We sought to educate the public on what was happening and why. To do this, we had Cubans, Miami born Cubans, and Cubans of color share their oral histories and testimonies of what life was like in Cuba, the political history and international affairs that shape Cuba today, race relations in Cuba, and the current crisis. This podcast serves to contextualize the current crisis in history and present a raw Cuban narrative that is absent from major media platforms. Speakers are Venus #justiceforMichaelBarrera , Malik founder of Game Bred Youth, and Daylin founder of the Spanglish Generation. Special thank you to Fabian for lending his space to artists and activists around the world so that we can create a safe space for dialogue. #esquinadeabuela

Pro - Palestine, Public Forum #1

This Public Forum took place in Coral Gables Florida. It's purpose is to spotlight the narrative of Palestine and educate the audience as to what is happening in Palestine. A country that practices apartheid against its native inhabitants, Palestinian perspectives are frequently excluded and erased in mainstream media platforms. Palestinian scholar Dr. Ghumrawi shares an oral history and insider knowledge with the audience about the history of Palestine, how Palestinian people have struggled, and the current humanitarian crisis and oppression of Palestinians. This is history that is difficult to find in history books, headlines, and newspapers.
