<p>Not every friendship lasts forever. Despite what we hope to achieve, best friends are not forever. Sadly the close bonds we once shared with people that we once considered a sister often end. Sometimes with drama and sometimes with no drama at all.</p> <p>Its life.</p> <p>In the Age of Social Media, Instagram, and Facebook keeping in touch with your social circle is not easier. It's harder.</p> <p>People are more lonely in the digital age because social media has diminished our ability to communicate effectively. <a href="https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2018/08/31/loneliness-is-pervasive-and-rising-particularly-among-the-young" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Young people are spending more time online than interacting with their friends in real life. </a>I prefer real-life interactions but have had many friends who don’t.</p> <p>In the digital age, friends come and go. I have seen many. Sometimes it makes me sad. In my short 28 years, I have realized friendships fade for a number of reasons. <p>I've been doing social media detoxification for the past 2 years now and I can proudly say that it really helped me define myself in a much better sense. Whenever I feel anxious, it sends signal to my brain that the next phase would be a bit toxic - so might as well, do some damage-control right away (and staying away from the social media is one of the best way to manage it.) </p> <p>Social media detoxification means <strong>a period of time when a person refrains from using tech devices such as smartphones</strong>, televisions, computers, tablets, and social media sites. “Detoxing” from digital devices is often seen as a way to focus on real-life social interactions without distractions. It is a best practice to maintain one's sanity - especially during the pandemic. </p> <p>I hope this episode help you and encourage you to try social media detoxification. </p>

<p>A relationship for it to work should involved two person with pure intentions to commit to it fully.
