Today's Cup Of Tea: Take Action-Spring Forward In Faith

Today's Cup Devotion: “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus..”(Philippians 3:14 KJV) The old adage ‘Spring Forward, Fall Back’ is a reminder to set our clocks forward, but it can also be a reminder to spring into action. What are you reaching for in life? This is the time for you to step out on nothing but a wing and a prayer and go forward in FAITH and not look back. I’ve learned that God never consults our past to determine our future. The roads we take become learning experiences for growth and development, to bring us into our God given purpose. Spring into action: Get in alignment with your purpose. This is your place in history, this is your opportunity to discover your passion and cross into your promised land. So what is holding you back? You have got to make up your mind TODAY, that you are going to spring forward with your ideas and creativity or risk going back to what you were yesterday. Today's Cup Of Tea: Progress VS Perfection

Today's Cup Devotion: “I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” (Philippians 3:12-14 MSG) God does not call us to a life of perfection. He desires us to have a willing heart. It’s not about perfection, it’s about progress. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO STRIVE FOR PROGRESS AND NOT PERFECTION? Progress = making gradual steps forward; moving ahead in a process, change, or development. Perfection = the most favorable condition or highest level. It means: without flaws or defects; faultless; complete; pure. To strive for progress, not perfection, means that you should appreciate and be proud of your work. You shouldn’t be focused on what something could or should be; instead, focus on the small steps, the positive ways to improve yourself, and moving forward. Today, I would like to encourage you to focus on doing what God has called you to do, as best you can without fear of consequences for imperfections.
