The podcast all about rediscovering identity after having a baby.
Did you know that when a flamingo has chicks, she gives so much of herself that she loses her pink colour? Eventually, it does come back, but it takes a while.
Like a mumma flamingo, I feel like I have also lost my pink.
Come with me as I attempt to get my pink back by speaking to some very interesting and inspiring people with big ideas. If you, too, feel a little lost postpartum, this is the podcast for you.
Brought to you by writer, mum-of-two, and Big Little Wins founder, Cassie Arrowgros.
42. Siblings 17 years apart, SIDS, and fearless parenting with Lucy Luca
Lucy's family is unique, interesting, complex, beautiful.
After losing her brother to SIDS when she was just 2, Lucy tells me her family held each other close and never really let go.
Nearly 30 years on, Lucy now has 2 other brothers: one of whom is 17 years younger than her. She is also a mum to 2 kids of her own.
In this chat we talk about what it's like to grow up in a family struck by tragedy. We talk about resilience and love. We talk about how fear can take over, and how to take control of it by ironically, letting go of control.
We also talk about what it was like to be a sibling - and a sort of parent - to her younger brother, and what it's like now that she has 2 kids of her own.
There's a lot to unpack here, and boy it's an interesting chat.
Lucy is bright, funny, insightful and optimistic. She's the kind of person I aspire to be. I'm sure you'll feel her energy through your speakers.

41. Being a good father, partner and man with Justin Wallace
SURPRISE! This week I'm NOT joined by a mother, but a FATHER!
Introducing Justin: father of two girls, nervous system coach for men, and the other half of Ash (Ep 31, ICYMI (https://open.spotify.com/episode/3TgyWoHGzKvNf3AGmtN8bI?si=ba2e48706fd447d8)).
When Justin reached out to chat on the pod, I was really excited. I had been waiting for the universe to deliver me a man (who wasn't my own husband) who would willingly talk about the challenges faced by men as they transition into parenthood. And, yep. Can confirm. Justin delivered.
In this chat we talk about what it's like to experience unplanned pregnancy, fast-tracked timelines, devastating medical hurdles and disregulation, all from a father's perspective.
We talk about feelings and why talking about them is still so hard for so many men. We talk about finding joy, identity, and drinking cold coffee.
If you are a dad (or know a man who is a dad), I have a feeling this one is going to be a goodie. And for the mums: welcome to a rare insight into the male brain.
You can find out more about Justin, reach out, and keep up to date with his coaching via his Insta @therealjustinwallace (https://www.instagram.com/therealjustinwallace/).
Enjoy! x

‘Why are you taking the easy way out?’ with Taylor Murray
Taylor's back for part 2 of our chat, and this week we're continuing on where we left off.
In this one, we discuss what it feels like to not have a conventional 'bump', deciding to lose weight, and how the people around us can have the greatest impact on how we feel about ourselves.
If you haven't already, go and listen to last week's ep where this chat begins.
ENJOY! x
