Family Law, Mindfulness, and Growing A Law Firm with Leona Krasner
<p>In this episode of the Rising Leaders of New York podcast, welcome guest Leona Krasner, Esq., MBA. Leona is the Founder and Managing Partner of Krasner Law, PLLC, a rapidly growing family law practice helping people in New York and New Jersey with their family law needs in the areas of prenuptial agreements, separation agreement, custody, and restraining orders.<br>Tune in to this episode as Leona shares insights into:<br>* How she decided to be a Matrimonial Attorney and start Krasner Law<br>* Factors to consider to decide whether a prenuptial agreement is necessary<br>* How virtual court has benefitted the court process, including more efficient proceedings<br>* How to have personal growth in different aspects of life, marriage, work, productivity<br>* Her experience with running her own law firm and helpful tips for those considering starting their own business or practice<br>A Brooklyn native, Leona studies Politics and Psychology at the College of Arts and Sciences at New York University, where she graduated cum laude. She then earned her Juris Doctorate at Washington Lee University School of Law, and then her Master’s of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University.<br>Leona has focused her legal career on litigation. She served as an Assistant Attorney General of New York, where she represented New York State and state employees including those of the New York State Department of Corrections and New York State Park Police. <br>Leona then served as a Litigation Consultant for a number of international law firms and served on pre-trial teams to help get complex international finance, securities regulation, antitrust, and regulatory cases ready for either trial or settlement.<br>Leona decided to launch her family law firm to work one-on-one with clients to really help make a real difference in their lives. She believes that nothing is more important than family, so being able to prepare prenuptial agreements, effectuate divorces, assist with child-related matters such as custody, visitation, child support, and paternity, and litigate or settle restraining order matters for clients really fulfills her each day.<br>Leona is also Chair of Communications of the Women In Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is also on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyer’s Section of the New York State Bar Association and is a member of the Events Committee of the New York Women’s Bar Association.
