Solstice Shakedown Episode 3: Serious Fun

What does it mean to have a sense of adventure? In episode 3 of Road Weaver Solstice Shakedown, you’ll hear from a myriad of motorcycle riders as they talk about the wide range of experiences a person can have within the world of adventure; from every day riding all the way to extreme adventure touring and the places that can take you.

Adventure involves risk and skill. We’ll also roll into the world of motorcycle safety coaches, a frequently stereotyped and undervalued group of individuals within the world of motorcycles. Solstice Shakedown Episode 1: My Tennessee Mountain Home

Road Weaver Podcast.

The roads we seek. The people we meet. The webs we weave.

For the last two years, my closest friends and I have taken a cross-country motorcycle adventure finding us somewhere beautiful for the summer solstice. We’ve affectionately coined this annual ride our Solstice Shakedown, and at some point we decided these trips should take us across all 48 contiguous state lines together. This year we will be crossing every state line in the northeastern United States.

In episode one, you’ll learn a little bit more about how we start to plan these trips, as well as meet Sarah Potter, my big-smilin, mile-makin, ride-or-die road dog. Sarah and I live in lovely East Tennessee, and you’ll hear all about what makes riding motorcycles in this little slice of Smoky Mountain heaven so appealing to people from all over the world, but especially to everyone who lives here.

If you can read this… hop on the back and come along for the ride.

This is a public episode.
