The Opposite of Addiction isn't Sobriety it's Connection
<p>The Opposite of Addiction is not Sobriety, it's Connection. In active addiction all my relationships were based on what I could get from the other person. I wasn't connecting with people in a way that could create and sustain meaningful relationships because I wasn't willing to be honest about my motivations or vulnerabilities. It was extremely difficult for me to understand why I did the things I did or the pattern behind my actions and consequences. As I have grown and evolved into the person I am today I am more convinced than ever that connection is the antidote to addiction. Transformation becomes inevitable when we live in compassionate connection to oneself and one another.</p>
